Your Natural Rhythm
April 25th, 2011I was listening to Amethyst Wyldefyre’s teleclass on the “6 Figure Secrets of the Divine Entrepreneur” teleseries and I wanted to share a simple strategy that she recommended. (That’s the series I recommended last week at:
www.divinefeminineentrepreneur.com in case you didn’t see it.)
Her area of expertise is energy and her talk was all about how your energy affects your business and how the energy of your business affects you.
If you really want to learn a great time management technique, here is a valuable tool. She said to write down your energy level every day for the next 60 to 90 days to find your natural rhythm. Use a scale of 1 to 10; 1 being “I don’t want to get out of bed” to 10 being “Let’s have a big party!”
By recording your energy level every day, you will undoubtedly see a pattern that you can use to your advantage. Knowing where you are in your energy cycle can help you make the best use of your time. You don’t want to schedule an important meeting or teleclass on a day when your energy level is a 2. You don’t want to clean out the garage on a day when your energy level is a 9.
Many people know about their natural rhythm on a daily basis. For example, if you are a “morning person” you will want to do your most important activities in the morning. Amethyst’s process is the same thing only for a bigger cycle. By the way, it couldn’t hurt to do the same energy level record for your day, for the next week, to see what your daily cycle is, too.
Try this and see if it can help you with your business schedule. And since you’re reading this, leave a comment below with your energy level today. That’ll get you started!

Jeannette,
I signed up for this and downloaded all the mp3. I’m hoping during the week I can listen to all the speakers of this program.
I like this idea. Now what is my energy level right now…kinda in the middle of 1-10, but earlier today it was 2 meaning I felt pretty good and accomplished things I needed to get done with some not completed.
I’m definitely going to incorporate this into my daily schedule and listen to her recording later tonight.
Thanks.
I really like the concept – natural energy fits right there with passionate purposeful performance. Nothing happens if your energy levels are wrong
Hi Jeannette, I like this idea of charting to see where is my natural rhythm. I have a general idea of where my energy level is during the day but it would be interesting to also see if they are patterns which come up as to days of the week where my energy level is highest. I tend to get more done in the mornings and evenings while my energy drops considerably after lunch. Therefore an afternoon nap is a good pick me upper
I’ve kept a journal forever (ok, on computers). Not only for energy monitoring, but for health purposes, as well. It really does help!
This is such a great idea, Jeannette! I try to work with my energy levels naturally, whether I’m conscious of them, but I didn’t realize that they could have a pattern. I imagine that it would depend a lot on food and other external events, but I can also see that there could be a general structure. Thanks for this idea, Jeannette! =)
Thanks for all of your comments. This is new to me too. I know I have a daily rhythm but getting to know the monthly energy pattern will be interesting. I think the only way to make it worthwhile is to wait until the end of the day and then decide on the overall level. Keep me osted on your results. We can compare notes!

I have always been interested in biorhythms and the natural ups and downs of individual energy levels. I know I am very much not a morning person and tend to fire up early evening. I’d be great to do this on an excel spreadsheet and then convert it to a graph format each week, month etc – a visual guide
