Recently I was going over my notes from Napoleon Hill’s book “The Laws of Success” and I came across the words, “Speak with conviction.”  It occurred to me that this was an area for some reflection and improvement.  Speaking with conviction involves several different areas of concern.

First of all in order to speak with conviction you need to have confidence in yourself and your business.  You must know that you are in the right business doing what you should be doing.  Confidence is essential to having conviction.

Secondly, you need to have a healthy level of self-esteem.  How do you regard yourself?  Do you believe in yourself? Do you believe you can accomplish your goals?  You need to believe in yourself in order to speak with conviction. As Napoleon Hill stated, “Your only limitation is the one which you set up in your own mind.”  Clear your mind of limiting thoughts and your speech will be much more powerful.

Belief in the value of your service or product is another area to address.  You need to believe that you are offering something of great value to your customers.  You need to know without a doubt that it will solve their problem, ease their pain, or make them a better person.  They need to hear that strength in your voice when you talk about your product.  Keep in mind that you are not responsible for your clients’ results.  You are only responsible for delivering a product that has the ability to get those results.  The actual getting of the results is up to their level of implementation.

Fourthly, in order to speak with conviction you need to have a strong WHY.  Why are you engaged in doing business? Clearly define to yourself why you are doing what you do each day. Your passion for your WHY, for doing what you do, will be expressed in your voice and you will motivate others to join in your cause.

Speaking with conviction sets a strong energy in motion of your intentions and thereby transforming them into reality.  No matter what your calling is, you should be able to speak about it convincingly and you can do that by speaking with conviction.  As you do so, you will be using the powerful laws of attraction to bring your desires, goals, and dreams to you quicker and easier than you ever thought possible.
